Goal
    Upon completion of this course students will be able to
-Understand the unique nature of the game industry
-Understand the viewpoint and importance of gamification
-Identify key factors for game monetization to succeed in developing game business
-Understand the importance of visual design and concept art in game design
-Create concept art for game design and communication purposes
-Analyze, understand and implement the priciples of video game design
-Design a game concept as a member of multidisciplinary team
-Communicate game design decisions for key stakeholders
Contents
    This course gives an overview on game industry and unique monetization models specifgic to game industry. Overview on visual design and concept art is provided, along with simple tools to quickly visualize game concepts and ideas. Game mechanics and underlying design principles are explained. Methods to create a viable game concept are introduced. Throughout the course, the skills for pitching and communicating design decisions and concepts are introduced.
Accomplishment
    Individual tasks
Each student will finish pre-defined tasks as explained on the beginning of the course. In addition to that, each student will participate in game desing process as part of a multidisciplinary design team. In addition, each student is required to keep a learning diary describing topics learned progress in individual skill developlment.

Class format
1. Teams will be formed in first week. Each of these teams will work throughout the course to create a unique game concept. Each team member will learn important game and visual design skills to complete a game concept and communicate it to stakeholders. Simple prototype will be developed as a team effort, depending on skills present within the team.
2. During each class, key aspects and principles of game and/or visual design topic are introduced
